Frettens Solicitors are delighted to be a main sponsor of The Christchurch Food and Wine Festival 2010 as our firm has been based in the town throughout our 30 year history. The Festival will be held from Friday 7th May to Sunday 16th May, with the International Food Market taking over the town centre on 8th and 9th May.
The Festival is now in its eleventh year and usually attracts over 60,000 visitors to the town during the two days that it runs. The Festival promotes Christchurch as a place to visit and encourages all food establishments in the area to strive towards excellence. The Festival was also developed as a community event which aimed to educate people in healthy eating as well as the availability of different foods, where to buy them and how to prepare them.
Now seen as one of the best Food Festivals in the UK, it has attracted a number of celebrity chefs over the years including Anton Edelman, James Martin, Gary Rhodes, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Paul Rankin, Lesley Waters, Brian Turner and Nick Nairn, to name just a few. The celebrity chefs and many local chefs will be doing cookery demonstrations during the first weekend of the Festival in a marquee in Saxon Square. All of the demonstrations are free of charge.
