Office revamp benefits local charity

Frettens have recently made a donation of £1200 to Autism Wessex after an office revamp. Frettens made the decision to upgrade its IT hardware and wanted to ensure the old computers went to good use despite the low resale value.

Matthew Fretten Managing Partner at Frettens said “After the office PCs were upgraded we offered the old computers to staff, friends and family in exchange for a donation to our charity of the year. It was a great way to support a good cause.”

Autism Wessex, Frettens’ Charity of the Year, is the regional charity that supports anyone affected by autism. There are three main areas of support, Portfield School for education, residential and respite care, Community Wessex for social care services and an information and advice service.

Kim Darbyshire, Corporate Partnerships Officer said: “We are very grateful to Frettens for thinking of us when they were upgrading their office equipment. The charity relies heavily on donations, we need to fundraise for our advocacy service, set up costs of our new adult residential homes and resources and equipment for Portfield School. The donation from Frettens will help us maintain these vital elements of the charity.”
