The Frettens Netball Team snatched their third victory of the season against The Tigers this Wednesday!
It was a windy night which made it very difficult to score goals, so it was no surprise that Goal Shooter Charlotte Wilson was awarded player of the match, a fitting reward for lots of goals through the first few matches of the season! Karen Edwards and Michele Overton-Holmes supported with some excellent attacking passes and goals.
Lianne Mailing, Kaitlin Stone and Aimee Barnett are developing a consistent and fast paced central core to the team, and they managed to run rings around the tigers! Laura Martin and Louise O'Connell had a solid game in defence, saving some crucial goals during the second and third quarters while the score was very close.
Frettens capitalised in the final quarter to grab victory in a close, low scoring game due to the windy conditions. The final score was 12-9 to Frettens. Mid-season, the team are poised, mid-table and aiming for many more victories in the second half of the season!
