Dominic Holmes
Dominic is a Trainee Solicitor within the Commercial Property Team.
Work
Dominic studied at Cardiff University where he completed a LLB Law undergraduate degree. He was local to Christchurch growing up however, completing the first part of his education at Twynham school.
He started as a Graduate Legal Assistant at Frettens, and believed it was the perfect route for him to pursue a successful legal career.
His role as a Graduate Legal Assistant provided administrative support to the Head of Insolvency & Restructuring Malcom Niekirk – opening and closing files, dealing with correspondence on his behalf and assisting in any way necessary for the Insolvency team.
Dominic then moved into our Dispute Resolution team in Christchurch for the first seat of his training contract. In March 2026 Dominic made the move into his second seat, in the Commercial Property Team out in Ringwood.
Play
Outside of work Dominic enjoys socialising with friends, often attending various music events and festivals. He is a big football fan, with his team being Leeds United, so watches them where he can. He is also a big foodie, so enjoys trying out new food spots and markets.
