Nathan Andrews

Nathan is our Head of HR Services based in Christchurch with over 18 years of people management experience.

Work

Nathan joined Frettens in July 2024 as Head of HR Services following more than seven years running his own consultancy specialising in workplace investigations, mediation and complex people matters. He was promoted to Associate (Non-Solicitor) in July 2025.

Prior to this, Nathan held senior HR leadership positions, including HR Director roles, across a range of sectors including the NHS, professional services, retail, food manufacturing, hospitality, health and social care, and engineering.

A CIPD Level 7 qualified People Management Specialist and Chartered Member of the CIPD, Nathan advises business owners, boards and senior leadership teams on people strategy, organisational change, and workforce challenges. He currently serves as Trustee and Non-Executive Director at Lewis-Manning Hospice Care and sits on the Advisory Board of Twynham Primary School within Twynham Learning Trust.

Nathan has particular expertise in workplace investigations, mediation, and complex employee relations matters, helping organisations manage risk, resolve conflict, and strengthen workplace culture. Working closely with Frettens' Employment Legal Services team, he combines commercial insight, senior HR leadership experience, and robust employment law expertise to deliver practical, strategic people solutions.

Play

When not at work, Nathan enjoys spending time with family and friends and embracing the challenges and rewards of a busy family life.  Outside of work, he enjoys fitness, cooking, entertaining and making the most of the outdoors whenever the weather allows. When time permits, you will often find him relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine.
