Patsy Whitford

Patsy is a Partner in our Commercial Property team having expertise in development land including options and overage.

Work

Patsy joined the firm in 2021 as an experienced lawyer, dealing with all aspects of Commercial Property and works in our Wimborne office. She was promoted to Partner in July 2026.

She has particular expertise in development land, including options and overage, having worked for national and local developers. Patsy also undertakes a variety of commercial landlord and tenant work from mixed use commercial sites, to start up businesses acquiring their first leases.  Patsy also acts on refinances.

Patsy has also been recognised in the 2024 Legal 500 which is an independent legal directory.

Experience

• Purchase of freehold and leasehold interest, with a leaseback to current occupiers and refinance of entire matter.
• Restructure of care homes property portfolio.
• Refinancing property worth in excess of £2,500,000, including redemption of existing charges and postponing a second charge.
• Leases of pubs, shops and restaurants. 

Play

When not at work, Patsy is outdoors whenever she can be! She loves to be around the water and can often be found in, on or under it whilst trying to master the art of paddle boarding. She loves exploring her local area and her favourite activity is a long walk, with her other half and the dog, followed by a pub lunch.
