I started as a Graduate Legal Assistant in 2024 and recently became a Trainee Solicitor in September 2025.
My favourite things about working at Frettens are:
It’s a great balance which differentiates from any other firms in the area.
It's extremely enjoyable.
The work-life social balance is great, there are lots of opportunities to get involved with different activities, and plenty of chances to network.
It's great, everyone's a friendly bunch.
The course is fully funded by Frettens and is provided by an excellent course provider. You receive 10 study days a year, and the course is also well structured, clearly setting out what you need to do to stay on track.
Everyone at Frettens is extremely supportive. You can approach anyone in the firm at any time, and they will always give you the time of day.
The role is varied, from attending client meetings and liaising with the other side, to drafting, reviewing, and reporting on documentation.
Frettens is looking for someone who is determined, enthusiastic, personable and always positive.
Speak confidently from the beginning as this will resonate with the firm’s values, and looking to the firm, do some research so you are prepared for the first interview.
Fun, bright and different.
We are currently looking for ambitious and bright graduates to join our scheme and get qualified!
If you’re great at communicating and able to work well with clients and colleagues, we want to hear from you.
Send your CV to our Operations Manager Catharine Snow on csnow@frettens.co.uk, or find out more first here.
Applications for 2026 are now open and will close on the 24th April.
