About us

Frettens is looking for a Junior IT Assistant to join their team in Christchurch. This role is to ensure the prompt and efficient processing and resolution of all IT queries raised internally by Frettens staff, escalating to the IT Assistant and IT Manager when required. This will require contact/liaison with internal and external sources throughout the day. The role will also involve supporting the IT team with ongoing hardware and software projects.

Essential qualities

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite.
  • Minimum GCSE level qualification.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to convey information accurately and articulately, both verbally and in writing.
  • First class communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a close-knit team.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and deal with interruptions.
  • Returns calls and maintains appropriate contact for excellent service.
  • Focuses on detail, needs to be methodical, organised systematic.

Desirable talents

The following abilities would also be desirable:

  • Sound working knowledge of Windows 10 operating system
  • Sound working knowledge of Office 365 is an advantage
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes quickly
  • Shows initiative
  • Willingness to collaborate on non-IT related projects when required, e.g. office moves
