Further Accolades for Frettens: Chambers & Partners Directory

The Partners at Frettens are delighted to announce their recommendations in this year’s Chambers & Partners Legal Directory in an increased number of practice areas.

The firm was recognised in four specialist areas of the 2012 directory, which is an independently researched guide to the best law firms, region by region, in the UK.

The firm was recognised for Employment work, stating that the team has “a stellar reputation amongst local clients for its personalised service and ability to clearly communicate complex matters with simple solutions and action plans” Kate Fretten and Paul Burton were also highlighted as key individuals within the region.

Oonagh McKinney is recommended for Commercial Property advice, with comments stating that she is “clearly very experienced, knowledgeable and attentive to detail”.

Julie-Ann Harris is singled out for a second year running as a specialist in family and matrimonial advice for handling high-value matrimonial finance cases, complex children law matters and cohabitation disputes.

For commercial work, Matthew Fretten is singled out, and is praised for his "excellent knowledge and ability to communicate well."

Managing Partner, Matthew Fretten, says: "At Frettens, none of us are in it for the glory or accolades, we simply try to deliver the best possible service to our clients. However, it is always nice when the quality of our advisers and their achievements are recognised. We are delighted by the recognition of individuals for their expertise and, in particular, proud to be equally rated alongside much larger firms that we compete with. The hard work of each member of our staff significantly contributes to these recommendations."

In October, the firm was also recognised in The Legal 500 2012. Both legal directories are compiled based on client feedback and the complexity of cases handled and they are widely regarded as ‘league tables’ for the UK legal market.
