Frettens Solicitors is delighted to report that it has been recognised in five specialist areas of The Legal 500 Guide to Legal Service 2011. The firm’s Family Associate, Julie-Ann Harris, is to be named as a leader in her field in another legal directory, Chambers & Partners UK 2012, which will be released in October.
Both the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners are independently researched guides to law firms in the UK. They have become the largest and most in-depth surveys of the UK legal market and they are compiled based on client feedback and the complexity of cases handled.
In Legal 500, the firm was recognised for Corporate and Commercial work, singling out Partner Matthew Fretten, stating "Matthew's team is a credit to the profession" and that they "express complex legal issues in layman's language".
Michelle Hayter, Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Team was also hailed for Commercial Litigation work and recommended as a specialist in the region. The guide states "Michelle Hayter is easy to communicate with and focuses on main issues".
This year, Frettens Employment Team has also joined the ranks of those recommended in the directory. The "excellent" Kate Fretten, Partner and Head of the Employment Team is recommended. Commercial Property work and Personal Tax, Trusts and Probate work were also highlighted, with Oonagh McKinney, Partner and Head of the Commercial Property and Lee Young, Partner and Head of Wills & Tax recommended as specialists in the Dorset and South Wiltshire region.

Ian Fretten, Senior Partner at Frettens Solicitors, comments: "We are extremely pleased that six of our core specialist areas have been singled out and recommended by these independent legal directories, building on our recognition last year. Frettens are one of only eight Dorset firms to be included in the directories which is an outstanding achievement and highlights the efforts made by our lawyers and staff to provide the best possible service to all of our clients."
