Employing foreign nationals - 25th February 2010

In our usual forum format, we will be looking at recently introduced changes to the way businesses in the UK employ foreign nationals. We will review the effect of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006, together with the new points based system. In particular, what steps must be taken by employers to avoid falling foul of the law in this area.

The usual format for our quarterly lunchtime HR events is a Forum aimed at those dealing with HR issues. They provide an excellent opportunity for HR professionals to meet, share ideas and discuss employment issues, as well as socialise with contemporaries. Kate Fretten and Paul Burton open the Forums with an overview of the legal aspects of the topic and then allow the discussion to develop.
