Frettens Sponsor the Christchurch Food Festival - 8th & 9th May 2010
Frettens Solicitors are delighted to be one of the main sponsors of Christchurch Food & Wine Festival. The Festival runs from Friday 7th May - Sunday 16th May 2010.
The main focus of the Festival is the International Food Market on 8th & 9th May. The Market takes place in the High Street, which is filled with over 100 stalls selling a wide range of food and drink. Many stalls give the opportunity to taste their wares before buying and there are also a number of food outlets where you can get snacks or meals to eat in the sunshine (hopefully!). Celebrity chefs plus chefs from local restaurants will give free cookery demonstrations in the marquee in Saxon Square.
Frettens are looking forward taking part in the Market. Our stall will have a unique smoothie bike where pedal power will blend some fruit into a delicious smoothie! 100% of proceeds from the smoothie bike will go towards our charity of the year Julia's House. Our staff are also busy writing down their family favourite recipes - we will have a number of recipe cards available to give away to visitors to the stall. A number of our staff will be on hand to help out and we look forward to meeting you there!
Frettens are also backing the "Mum Dine With Me" competition on air with Heart Dorset FM and Heart Hampshire FM. The Radio stations are looking for the greatest 'Mum' cooks in Dorset and Hampshire.
The lucky Dorset winner will recieve a Cotswolds food tour with 'The Cotswold Chef' Rob Rees, for two people including two night's accomodation at Whatley Manor.
The Hampshire prize is an exclusive cooking workshop with TV chef Lesley Waters for two people at Minterne House plus accomodation at the Summer Lodge Hotel.
To enter the competiton, visit Heart Dorset FM or Heart Hampshire FM!
Frettens are delighted to be so involved with the Festival as the firm has been based in Christchurch throughout its 30 year history. Commercial Partner, Matthew Fretten, says "We welcome the opportunity to be more involved with our local community in learning more about different foods and healthy eating. We also relish the opportunity of working with the area’s best food establishments to promote the excellence that exists in Christchurch."
