New ACAS Code of Practice on Grievances - 19 May 2009
Returning to our workshop format, this event will focus on grievances and the new ACAS Code of Conduct.
The Code came into effect at the beginning of April 2009 and has replaced the Statutory Grievance Procedures, which many employers found to be too bureaucratic and led to increased claims by employees to Employment Tribunals. This event will outline the new Code and explore some of the changes and benefits for employers.
The usual format for our quarterly lunchtime HR events is a Forum aimed at those dealing with HR issues. They provide an excellent opportunity for HR professionals to meet, share ideas and discuss employment issues, as well as socialise with contemporaries and enjoy a light lunch together. Kate Fretten and Paul Burton open the Forums with an overview of the legal aspects of the topic and then allow the discussion to develop.
