Jason Grimster

Jason is a Chartered Legal Executive Litigator (Civil Litigation) in the Dispute Resolution team working closely with clients to guide them through the complexities of this area of law.

Work

Jason spent 24 years teaching law at Bournemouth University and Brockenhurst College.  He was the Head of Law at Brockenhurst College for 15 years and was responsible for the management, development and delivery of law courses across the curriculum.  He has developed specialisms and expertise in Criminal Law, Contract Law, Tort and English Legal Systems.

He left teaching in 2015 to put his long experience of law into practice and qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2020. He specialises in dispute resolution and litigation, including building dispute resolution, consumer claims, property litigation, landlord & tenant and leasehold property. Jason now works in our Wimborne office.

Experience

• Teaching law at degree level, ‘A’ level and BTEC
• Dispute Resolution - contract claims, building disputes, consumer claims, landlord & tenant - possession proceedings and recovery of rent arrears, residential and commercial property disputes, lease extensions, enfranchisements, right to manage and rights of first refusal.

Play

In Jason's spare time you will often see him walking his dog Ruby on Wimborne heath where he lives or paddling around on his kayak in Poole Harbour or on The Stour.

He can play electric and acoustic guitar and wishes to be in a rock band one day! Keeping the adrenaline junkie in him alive he drives a race car for fun on track days throughout the year at various circuits including Thruxton, Castle Combe, Silverstone, Brands Hatch and Bedford Aerodrome.
