Arya Koohgilani

Arya is a Solicitor in the Corporate & Commercial team within our Christchurch office.

Work

Arya studied LAW LLB at Bournemouth University and then went on to complete the LPC LLM.  Working in-house and in private practice has allowed him to get the best of both worlds and better understand the legal issues companies may face commercially.

He completed his Training Contract at a local firm and qualified as a solicitor in February 2024.

Experience

• Aiding a well-known STEM recruitment PLC in novating over 170 contracts from its subsidiaries as part of an internal company reorganisation.
• Dealing with a variety of company reorganisations and demergers, which includes large property portfolios
• Advising a social housing provider on a range of complex matters, including service level agreements and nomination agreements.
• Aiding software developers and IT firms in drafting and amending their agreements.
• Assisting and advising on intellectual property matters including:
  • registering and renewing trademarks for companies and individuals,
  • drafting trademark licence and assignment agreements
• Reviewing and amending a variety of commercial agreements.
• Assisting with share and asset transactions of various values.

Play

Arya enjoys football, the gym and going for beach runs.  He is also fluent in Persian/Farsi.
