James is a Trainee Solicitor within the Corporate & Commercial team.

Work

James graduated from Bournemouth University in 2022 with a law degree and commenced at Frettens as a Legal Secretary in the Commercial Property team.

James was offered a training contract as part of the Frettens' Graduate Scheme and is now a Trainee Solicitor. The Graduate Scheme at Frettens takes place over three years and is based on the SQE route to qualification.

In March 2024, James commenced his second seat in the Insolvency & Restructuring team assisting Malcolm Niekirk, before moving onto his third seat in Corporate & Commercial in September.

Play

Outside of work James enjoys mountain biking, walking and socialising in the pub with friends. He's also a keen follower of Formula 1.
