On 27th June, Frettens were headline sponsors of the Wimborne Lashings Cricket Lunch in support of our long-term Charity Partners, MYTIME Young Carers.
Wimborne Cricket Club was bathed in glorious sunshine, as over 260 were in attendance for the lunch. Hundreds more joined to watch the Lashings Legends (including Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh) take on Wimborne in a thrilling T20 game.
Over £10,000 was raised for the charities supported on the day through ticket sales, raffles and auctions.
Hatfulls of fun in the sun
Guests were treated to an excellent lunch, sat alongside legends of the game, with entertaining speakers and a superb game of cricket.

A brilliant community event in Wimborne
“We had a table at the Lashings World Wimborne cricket lunch last year and had a blast. So, when Dave Fitzgerald approached me about Frettens Solicitors being headline sponsor it was an easy sale for a number of reasons.
Firstly; Dave, Scott and the team have built a fantastic event and community around the legends and the cricket. They’re a lovely bunch and exactly the type of people you want to work with.
Secondly; it gives us another chance to raise funds and awareness for our charity partners, MYTIME Young Carers (and it’s much more fun than climbing mountains in the dark).
Thirdly; despite us not having an office in Wimborne, it turns out we have an awful lot of friends and clients in the town, so it was great to support an event there.”

This years T20 proved to be a fantastic success and drew in crowds for an afternoon of cricketing brilliance while also raising vital funds in support of our Charity Partners, MYTIME Young Carers.
MYTIME does exceptional work with young carers across the south coast, offering them meaningful support through memory-making days and an innovative employability programme designed to help them thrive.
