James is an experienced, ambitious solicitor who heads up our Wills & Tax Team and is based in our Christchurch office.

James brings years of technical experience to Frettens, and is a huge asset for both the Wills Team and the firm as a whole.

Work

James qualified in 2008 and joined Frettens in May 2022 as a Wills & Tax Partner.

He has previous experience at a large regional firm and has built his expertise and reputation over many years.

With his knowledge in the field, James is more than capable in dealing with our increasing volumes of Wills & Tax clients as well as complex and technical cases.

James has worked with the leadership team to help the firm develop; bringing a fresh perspective to the table and is now head of the department.

James was also described as ' professional', 'efficient' and 'engaging', in the 2024 Legal 500, which is an independent legal directory.
