We're proud to announce that Frettens’ own Commercial Property Partner Oonagh McKinney will be taking to the dance floor in Pavilion Dance's Business Come Dancing 2023!

What is Business Come Dancing?

Pavilion Dance South West hold Business Come Dancing annually and have done so for over 13 years. Its an opportunity for local businesses to get involved and compete for the coveted Pavilion Dance Glitter Ball Trophy!

Based in Bournemouth, the charity develops and delivers targeted health and wellbeing programmes which improve resilience, increase self-esteem, and reduce stress through physical activity and social inclusion.

They partner with health, education and community leaders to reach those most in need, including Parkinson’s and Dementia patients, deprived areas of BCP, young people with mental health challenges, LGBTQ+ community and global majority groups to break down barriers and drive change.

When is it?

The black-tie fundraising gala is happening on Saturday 25th November at the Marriot Hotel in Bournemouth with 9 other local businesses taking part this year.

With a Bollywood theme to stick to, and just 8 weeks to learn a routine with her professional dance partner, we'll make sure to keep you posted and share photos of Oonagh's journey on our social media.

If you don’t already, you can follow us on our social platforms here.

Oonagh on ‘an exciting opportunity’

Oonagh said: “I am thrilled to be taking part in this year’s business come dancing! Thrilled but slightly terrified.

Pavilion Dance South West are a registered charity and a fantastic local cause enhancing the lives of many residents and visitors and collaborating with other organisations to raise the cultural profile of the town. So it is my absolute pleasure to be doing my part in helping raise money and awareness for them.

I’m looking forward to putting my dancing shoes on and getting in plenty of practice before the big day, which is sure to be an unforgettable evening.

If you can, please use and share this link to donate and help us reach our target!”

Frettens’ history with Business Come Dancing

We have taken part in Business Come Dancing a couple of times in the past. Once in 2018 where, for the 40th anniversary of the firm, ten members of the team (including Oonagh) performed a group disco dance.

And the year after, in 2019, where Ben Cobb ‘dazzled’ the crowd with a contemporary dance under the glitter and lights.

Ben was a last-minute addition to the line-up that year, with Oonagh dropping out with an injury. This year, Frettens are taking part in the event for the first time since the pandemic, and Oonagh gets to reclaim her spot in the ‘Final 10’.

Where can I donate?

If you’re able to help out and donate, it would make a massive difference and help Oonagh to reach her personal goal.

Remember, all money goes to those most in need in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area.
