It has been a busy few weeks at Frettens, with seven bright new faces arriving at the firm.

Three of the new arrivals will be based in Ringwood and four in Christchurch, though many will take advantage of the firm's flexible and hybrid working options.

Matt Fretten's thoughts on our recent growth

Managing Partner Matt Fretten said: “We are delighted to have added seven new recruits to the team recently.

As a firm we have enjoyed a sustained period of growth over the last few years and this would not have been possible without adding to our core team across the board.

As we continue to grow the business in all departments over the coming years, the latest recruits will enable us to meet our ambitious strategic plans.”

Richard Ramshaw joins commercial property team

Richard is an experienced solicitor who has joined our Commercial Property Team in Ringwood. He has experience in dealing with a wide range of property transactions, for various different clients.

Here's what Richard had to say after being welcomed to the firm: “It has been clear from day one that the culture within Frettens is supportive and friendly.

The partners realise that happy clients and happy staff go hand in hand so not only are you given the right tools to do your job efficiently but you are also well looked after.

I’m looking forward to working with everyone in this modern, forward thinking firm!”

Two ambitious new paralegals

Hem Gujadhur joins the Corporate & Commercial team in Christchurch, working as a paralegal alongside Karen Edwards and Sarah Sillar.

“I am really looking forward to developing my career further at Frettens. Everyone is so friendly and my team is very supportive.

Joining Frettens has probably been the best decision I have made since going for a career change!”

Jason Hayter will work in the Dispute Resolution Team alongside Anna Curtis and Will Bartley, assisting with an array of civil and commercial litigation matters.

It's clear that Jason already feels part of the team, with him saying: “I have been welcomed with open arms to the firm and already feel part of the Frettens family.

I am excited to be apart of the amazing work being completed and look forward to the future.”

Frettens' growing dispute team

Yvette Whyte has joined the Dispute Team in Christchurch as a PA to support the expanding team and workload. With over 20 years experience in secretarial and administration work, she will be a valuable addition to the team and has settled in very well.

“Frettens is a very rare find amongst its competitors and business establishments on many levels.

The core and what must originate from the head has certainly filtered down through the body of the company, forming the excellent work culture/working environment. I am extremely pleased at long last, to be a part of a company with good morals and sound values that permeates throughout the company.

It is noted that the company sees new members possibly as a reminder of their own first-time experience and is extremely welcoming, supportive and encouraging, willing new starters to succeed and alleviating what could be a lonely daunting experience.

Frettens not only has excellent employee care, and professional client care but its IT infrastructure is second to none, again aiding the ease and management of effective and efficient working practice and produce.

I could go on, but I must end by saying I am happy that Frettens holds the banner of leadership when it comes to showing what a proper successful working practice looks like. I am very impressed to have found this refreshing experience.

Happy staff, productive work life!"

Additional support in a growing Ringwood office

The second office in Ringwood was opened earlier this year and the numbers based there have grown significantly already. Two of the new faces will be supporting operations there.

Kelly Mead is an experienced Administrator whose time will be split between covering the reception in Ringwood and working as a PA for the firm.

Kelly said: “I am so thankful for a role within a modern company, full of fantastic, friendly and motivated people which also allows me to spend lots of quality time with my family.

Work life balance is so important, and it is really understood at Frettens.”

Lilly Hayward will work closely with the growing conveyancing team in Ringwood, providing administrative support to the teams based there.

Lilly said: "It’s an incredible place to work, my team are incredibly supportive and fantastic at what they do. Everybody here is incredibly friendly and dedicated."

Increased support in Christchurch

Olivia Gilbert is an Office Junior/Administrator, who was welcomed to Our Team in late September.

She works closely with Cat Snow, the firm's operations manager and has had her hands full helping to on-board all of the other new faces and ensure they settle in well. She supports Cat in HR, training, operations and administration.

When asked how she felt about her time at the firm, Olivia said: “Since being at Frettens I have felt welcome from the very beginning.”

More to come in the new year

Matt Fretten continued: "After a very successful period we have ambitious plans for the next few years at Frettens.

We've worked hard to build a culture that attracts, supports and retains bright, ambitious people. We hope that shows in our new careers section on the website.

We made a series of promotions earlier this year and want our excellent team to know they can achieve everything they want to right here at Frettens.

We will have news of some other new appointments to share in the New Year, and will welcome placement students and trainees from Bournemouth University later next year too."

Like the sound of a bright, ambitious workplace?

It is a very exciting time at the firm and we are investing significantly in our support teams, technology, training and workplace culture to make sure that our team are able to serve our clients in the best and most efficient way.

We are always on the look out for bright people to join our team. You can see a full list of current vacancies on our careers section. If you can't find a role for you, but Frettens sounds like the type of place you would like to work at, don't hesitate to get in touch with me or Cat Snow.
