After another successful year of growth, Frettens are excited to kick off the new financial year with a host of promotions.

Growth for retention, progression and succession

“Growth for retention, progression and succession.

That is the central point of our business strategy. We repeat it time and time again in our strategy updates, reviews and career progression meetings.”

Matt Fretten continues…

“We are trying to build a firm that our brilliant team can grow with, and another round of promotions after a fantastic financial year shows we are making progress.”

Legal Promotions

Michelle Petersen and Ben Cobb have been promoted to Head of Residential and Commercial Property respectively. Both have been at the firm for a long time and risen from Solicitor to Associate, Partner and now Head of Team.

“I am looking forward to stepping up to the role of Head of Department and continuing to work with a great team and clients and advancing our growth plans after a strong financial year.” Ben Cobb

Anna Curtis becomes the firm’s 17th partner. That number was five just six years ago, reflecting the firm’s recent growth.

And finally, Nathan Andrews, who joined the firm as Head of HR services a year ago has been promoted to Associate after a very successful first year.

“I am delighted to be promoted to Associate on the one-year anniversary of joining Frettens as Head of HR Services.

Frettens is a dynamic, forward-thinking firm with a clear vision for the future.”

Big news in our commercial and support teams

Cat Snow has been promoted to HR & Operations Director after celebrating her tenth anniversary of joining the firm recently, and Olivia Gilbert moves to HR & Operations Manager. The pair have worked closely and closely together throughout a significant period of change and will continue to do so with plenty of projects ahead.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to step into this new role.

It’s been a rewarding journey so far during my 10 years at Frettens, and I’m excited to continue supporting the people and processes that make our organisation thrive.” Catharine Snow.

Christine Chant is now the firm’s Client Enquiries Manager, looking after her growing team. It is Christine’s latest role in a career at the firm that has spanned over 20 years.

“After 20 years with Frettens I am delighted to head up the team and be involved in developing our new client experience and procedures” Christine Chant

Favourite part of the job

“Tell us where you go and we will help you get there” is a phrase we repeat in so many career progression meetings, so giving our team good news about promotions is one of my favourite parts of the job.

All seven have made significant contributions to the firm’s recent success. It is great to be able to recognise that and reward them with these promotions.” Matt Fretten
